Zechariah 2:8 – “He who touches Israel touches the apple of God’s eye.”
Joel 3:11-14 – “Hasten and come, all you surrounding nations, and gather yourselves to the valley of Jehoshaphat; For there I will sit to judge all the surrounding nations. Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come, tread, for the wine press is full; The vats overflow, for their wickedness is great; the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.”
More US Attacks On Israel:
Rumors of an Israeli IDF mobilization along the Israeli border, due to the March 30th March on Jerusalem have been circulating for some time, and appear to have been true. While Iranian missile technology has improved in accuracy it still lacks the pinpoint accuracy of U.S. and Israeli missile technology. However, Israel does not want to be caught off guard in the event that Iran chooses a first strike option.

The Obama Administration has decided to take its gloves off, and has stepped up efforts to make it more difficult for Israeli decision-makers to order the IDF to carry out a strike, and what’s even graver, to erode the IDF’s capacity to launch such strike with minimal casualties, as well as causing substantive diplomatic damage.

Egyptian Attacks On Israel:
In 1982 Israel gave Egypt the Sinai and in exchange it received a peace treaty with Egypt, based on the proposition that land can be exchanged for peace. The US is the guarantor of that treaty. The rise of jihadist Islam in Egypt places the US in an uncomfortable position effectively making the treaty null and void.

More Middle East Action:
Iran continues to employ the Islamic practice of hudna. This practice is frequently used to stall for time to fully prepare for war or military action under the guise of a cease fire or truce. Even when this truce is supposed to be “permanent”, to the Islamic nations, it is always simply temporary until they feel strong enough to overcome. Iran’s latest move is to try to move the nuclear negotiations to Moscow instead of having them in Istanbul, perhaps in light of the cooling diplomatic relations with Turkey.

Actions Taken By Israel:
Israeli forces are using military bases in Kurdistan to launch surveillance flights into Iran, and as noted above, may also be setting up airfield bases in Azerbaijan. Israel buys oil from Azerbaijan, and Azerbaijan recently agreed to buy $1.6 billion in military hardware from Israel, including drones, antiaircraft, and missile-defense systems. These bases could easily be used as a staging point for search-and-rescue operations, for strikes against Iran, or to launch drone aircraft for bomb damage assessment once any strike is concluded.

The Good News
Joel 2:28-29 – “In the last days God will pour out His Spirit upon all flesh: on sons and daughters, on young men, on old men, on servants, and on handmaidens; and they shall prophesy.”
Muslims in many areas are converting to Christianity. Reports indicate that over 200,000 former Muslims have come to faith in Yeshua in Sub-Saharan Africa, as well as others in Algeria, Iran, Morocco, Russian Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, and Nigeria. Even in Afghanistan, reports indicate that Christianity is spreading among members of the country’s parliament. That many are doing so within a few short years is both mind-boggling and heart-warming.
