Daytimer, The Moedim

2023 Moedim Dates

The Moedim are Dress Rehearsals for prophetic events. The spring moedim have all been fulfilled. Pesach, Chag Ha’Matzot, and Reishit Katzir have all been fulfilled in the death, burial, and resurrection of Yeshua. Shavuot has been fulfilled in the giving of the Ruach Ha’Kodesh fifty days after the resurrection of Yeshua, while his disciples were praying at the Temple in Jerusalem.

The fall moedim have yet to be fulfilled. Yom Teruah is the first of the fall moedim, and will be fulfilled when Yeshua returns to resurrect the dead and rapture his bride. Yom Kippurim is the second of the fall moedim, and will be fulfilled when Yeshua returns to judge the nations. Sukkot is the third and final of the fall moedim, and will be fulfilled when Yeshua returns to set up his millennial reign. Praise Yahweh for fulfilling prophecy.

What Date Do I Use
Several people have asked about the two distinct dates I have provided over the past years as to which date is correct. I have asked the same question, as the given dates do not seem to correspond to the New Moon dates plus x amount of days after Rosh Chodesh. Remember is it only the sighting of the New Moon which sets the date for Rosh Chodesh, (First Of The Month), not modern calendars!

So, what day does one actually pick to celebrate or start a days-long holiday? Ya got me. Guess we really do not know the day or hour – go figure :-)

My suggestion is to take the date of the New Moon, and count off the number of days needed to get to the date stated by the Bible. For instance, we know that Pesach is always on the 14th of Nisan. Start at Nisan 1, which is March 21st, add thirteen days which brings it to the fourteenth day April 3rd, and use that day to begin the celebration.

Below is a chart of the dates that shows that neither the Hebrew Calendar nor the Dead Sea Scrolls Calendar (DSS) appear to correspond correctly to the new moon dates plus the number of days until the dates of the 2023 Moedim.

Conclusions
We do not know the exact day or hour when the Moedim will actually begin according to Yahweh’s divine appointments calendar – his Daytimer. All we can do is make an educated calculation, or choose to use one of the traditional Moed calendars.

Final Thought for 2023
The stage for Yeshua’s return is being set. Prophecy continues to unfold in an escalating pattern as foretold by the Hebrew prophets. The season of the birth pains is here – they are burgeoning and not going away. Time is short – Yeshua Ha’Mashiach is coming soon – be sure you have salvation in Yeshua and keep busy reaching the lost.
