Yom Ha’Melekh: The Day Of The Coronation Of The Messiah
Psalm 98:6 – “With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the LORD, the King.”
The blowing of the shofar on Yom Teruah links this day to Yeshua’s coronation as King of Kings. The coronation ceremony of Kings was ripe with the blowing of trumpets, noisy celebration, and a seven sealed document being opened and read to all in attendance. Because Yom Teruah is a coronation of Yahweh / Yeshua as king of the universe, one of the most famous and familiar prayers of this season is Avinu Malkenu (“Our Father, Our King”).

On September 18th and 19th, 2020 in the Hebrew Year 5781, Rabbi Itzhak Shapira and Pastor Mark Biltz, along with many others will perform the ceremony of The Coronation Of The Messiah, which they are calling 100 Gates – 100 Shofarot.

Rabbi Shapira states: “In time God sent His Son, quietly – without pomp and circumstance, and He was rejected, though He had come to bring salvation. The years continued to be torn from the calendar, and now 2,000 since the King of the Jews was crucified, raised and ascended into heaven, everything points to His soon return. Now, we His people blow the shofar – answering G-d’s original call, way back on Mt. Sinai. Now we are crying out with the sound of the shofar and proclaiming that we crown Him King, and we yearn for His return. With the plaintiff almost human cry of the shofar, we answer His original cry to us, and say, We crown you King! We yearn for you to come and set up your eternal kingdom! His voice from heaven was the sound of the shofar, and now we are answering back with the same sound echoing His voice to us.”
