Honor Yahweh’s First Moed
Did you even know that there are eight moedim [From Moed H4150 מוֹעֵד] commanded by Yahweh in Leviticus Chapter 23?
Most think that there are only seven Moedim: Pesach, Chag Ha’Matzah, Reishit Katzir, Shavuot, Yom Teruah, Yom Kippur(im), and Sukkot — known as the Seven Prophetical Moedim. Pesach (including Chag Ha’Matzah and Reishit Katzir), Shavuot, and Sukkot are commanded to be attended each year.
Exodus 20:10 – “The seventh day is a Sabbath to Yahweh your God. On it you shall not do any work.”
Leviticus 23:3 – “Six days work may be done, but on the seventh day there must be a Sabbath of complete rest,1 a holy assembly. You must not do any work; it is a Sabbath to Yahweh in all the places where you live.” (see also Exodus 20:9; Exodus 23:12; Deuteronomy 5:13; Luke 13:14)
Deuteronomy 4:2 – “Do not add anything to what Yahweh commands you, nor subtract from it, so that you may keep the commandments of Yahweh your God.”
The Weekly Sabbath
Exodus 20:8: ד “Remember the Shabbat, to set it apart as holy for Yahweh.”
Description: The seventh day of each week is a day of complete rest, a holy assembly, a day of rest for Yahweh.
Dates Of Moed: 7th Day of Every Week
Key Word:. Sabbath [Shabbath H7676]
Prophetic Fulfillment: Elohim rested on the seventh day, therefore so do we.
The seventh-day Sabbath command is repeated in dozens of places and the command to never alter Yahweh’s word is repeated in Deuteronomy 12:32; Proverbs 30:6; and Revelation 22:18.
Yeshua, Paul, and all the apostles did not abandon it. The Bible never changed the Sabbath from the seventh to the first day, neither did Yahweh who does not change.
So, why then, have we abandoned the seventh-day Sabbath? Simply put, blatant anti-Semitism due to the influence of the Roman Catholic Church which openly admits they changed it.
The Scriptures
Isaiah 58:13 – “The Sabbath is a delight, the holy day of Yahweh; respect the Sabbath as a joyful day of worship.”
The scriptures are replete with evidence Yeshua always taught and worshipped on the Sabbath:
• Mark 1:21 – “They went into Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath Yeshua entered the synagogue.”
• Mark 6:2 – “On the Sabbath Yeshua began to teach in the synagogue.”
• Luke 4:16 – “As was his custom, Yeshua went to the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read.”
• Luke 4:31 – “Yeshua came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and taught them on the Sabbath day.”
• Luke 6:6 – “On another Sabbath, Yeshua entered the synagogue and was teaching.”
• Luke 13:10 – “And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath.”
• John 5:9 – “Yeshua instantly healed the man . . . Now that day was the Sabbath.”
• John 5:16 – “The Jews were persecuting Yeshua, because he was doing these things on the Sabbath.”
The scriptures also give evidence that the seventh-day Sabbath was the principle day upon which the early church gathered to celebrate and worship.
• Acts 13:14 – “On the Sabbath day Paul and his companions went into the synagogue and sat down.”
• Acts 13:42 – “As they went out, the people begged that these things might be told them the next Sabbath.”
• Acts 13:44 – “The next Sabbath almost the whole city gathered to hear the word of the Lord.”
• Acts 17:2 – “Paul reasoned with them on three Sabbath days from the Scriptures.”
• Acts 18:4 – “Paul reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath, and tried to persuade Jews and Greeks.”
• Acts 20:7 – “On one Sabbath when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.” [Emphasis mine]
The Apostolic Constitutions set forth the following:
• The Sabbath is the seventh day, established by Yahweh, and is still to be observed by Christians.
• The Sabbath is for all who belong to Yeshua, and was not abolished by either Yeshua or early Christians.
• Christians who fast on the Sabbath, with only one exception, dishonor it and must be punished.
• All, including servants, are to rest on the Sabbath and have the ability to go to church.
Other Witnesses
The Apostolic Constitutions is not our only witness that both Sabbath and Lord’s Day were celebrated:
• Socrates, in his Ecclesiastical History, Book 7, Chapter 9 states: “Almost all churches throughout the world celebrate the sacred mysteries (Communion) on the Sabbath of every week.”
• Timotheus, the Bishop of Alexandria from AD381 to AD385, tells his parishioners to abstain from sexual relations on both the Sabbath and the Lord’s Day.
• Epiphanius of Cyprus, in his Exposition of the Faith. also agrees to the special place of both.
Both documents and individuals confirm that the Sabbath, the seventh day, Saturday, was held in great honor and respect during the first three centuries after Yeshua’s death, resurrection, and ascension, and was the principal day of worship. Celebrating on the Lord’s Day, the first day, Sunday, was also acceptable, but the Lord’s Day was NOT the Sabbath.
Christians are still admonished to gather together on every Sabbath – on Yahweh’s Holy Day, on the seventh day. The Sabbath is still to be a day of rejoicing, not a day of fasting. The Sabbath Day is still to be celebrated forever, by all human beings. We fail to do so because we have placed the traditions of man and the Satanic agenda above the commandments of Yahweh.

Isaiah 58:13-14 – “The Sabbath is a delight, the holy day of Yahweh; respect the Sabbath as a joyful day of worship. If you keep from doing as you please on my holy day, and if you honor it by not going your own way and not doing as you please or speaking idle words, then you will take delight in Yahweh, and Yahweh will honor the Sabbath and the Lord’s Day.” [Emphasis mine]

The Time of Trial / Testing / Temptation
Matthew 6:9-11 –“Our Father in heaven! May your Name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come, your will be done on earth as in heaven. Give us the food we need today. Forgive us what we have done wrong, as we too have forgiven those who have wronged us. And do not lead us into the time of trial, but keep us safe from the Evil One.”
Have you ever considered Yeshua’s Prayer to be a prayer asking Yahweh /Yeshua to keep you from the Time of Jacob’s Trouble, from the Tribulation Period? If not, then perhaps you should!
Matthew 6:13 – “Do not lead us into the time of trial [Testing / Temptation].”
Luke 11:4 – “Do not lead us into the time of trial [Testing / Temptation].”
The most common translation of Matthew’s and Luke’s scriptures is translated “into temptation” by at least nine Bibles. The word translated temptation is the Greek word peirasmos [πειρασμός G3986] which means: a putting to proof or adversity. This word, peirasmos, is equivalent to the Hebrew words massah [H4531 מַסָּה] which means: testing, or trial, and ‛inyân [H6045 עִנְיָן] which means: to travail, or to be afflicted.
I appreciate most the New Revised Standard which translates it more accurately as: “into the time of trial” or the Complete Jewish Bible which translates it this way: “into a time of hard testing”. The footnotes of the NET also agrees that it may be translated: “into a time of testing.” Both are valid translations of the Greek word peirasmos.
Many consider this part of the prayer to only be a request to be kept from sin, but it is more accurately a request to be kept from a time of testing or trial. This is succinctly stated in other scriptures, including Matthew 26:41 – “Stay awake and pray that you may not come into the time of trial”, Mark 14:38 – “Keep awake and pray that you may not come into the time of trial” and Luke 22:40 – “Pray that you may not come into the time of trial,” which again, most Bibles poorly translate as “into temptation.”
Begging the Question
The question, then to ask, is: “When is the time of temptation, testing, or trial?” and scripture answers this quite well – “For that day will come like a snare on all those who dwell on the surface of all the earth. Therefore be watchful all the time, praying that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will happen, and to stand before the Son of Man” – Luke 21:35-36.
That “day,” or period, is called by various terms and titles throughout both Old and New Covenants:
• The Tribulation Period
• Daniel’s 70th Week
• Day Of The LORD
• Day Of Christ
• Day Of Wrath
• Day Of Indignation
• Days Of Vengeance
• The Hour of Trial
• Time Of Jacob’s Trouble
• Time Of The End
• The Lamb’s Wrath
• The Great And Terrible Day Of The LORD
When that day comes, Yahweh promises: “I will keep you from the time of trial [peirasmos G3986] coming upon the whole world to put the people living on earth to the test [peirasmos G3986]” – Revelation 3:10.
Almost all translations use the phrase “hour of trial (ESV, NIV, NRSV), time of trial (CJB), hour of testing (HCSB, HNV, NASB, NET, WEB), or time of testing (NLT) except the King James versions which stubbornly continue to translate it hour of temptation.
Again, the same Greek word, peirasmos [G3986] used in Yeshua’s prayer, which is more accurately translated testing or trial – not temptation.
Remember, Yeshua was driven into the wilderness to be tested by Ha’Satan – Matthew 4:1, Mark 1:13, Luke 4:2.
Evil One / Evil
Matthew 6:13 – “Keep us safe from the Evil One.”
Again, “keep us safe from evil” is a common translation of Matthew’s scripture, translated this way by several Bibles.
There are many more translations, however, that translate it more accurately this way: “Keep us safe from the Evil One.” Interesting to note that the newest translation of the KJV also now translates it Evil One!
The word poneros [πονηρός G4190], most generally translated evil, can be a specific and personified reference to the devil, Satan, as it is in this verse where it is written as τό [G3588] poneros [G4190].
Tό poneros is used the same way in Matthew 5:39 – “Do not resist the evildoer”, Matthew 5:37 – “Let your word be ‘Yes, yes’ or ‘No, no.’ More than this is from the evil one”, Matthew 13:38 – “The weeds are the people who belong to the Evil One”, and Matthew 13:49 – “The angels will go forth and separate the evil people from among the righteous.”
All of these, “the Evil One, evildoer, or evil people”, are valid translations of the Greek words tό poneros [G3588 G4190]. The word poneros [G4190] when used alone in these verses cannot be translated simply as “evil”.
Luke 21:36 –“Pray that you will have the strength to escape all the things that will happen and to stand in the presence of the Son of Man.”
2 Timothy 4:18 – “The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and bring me safely into his heavenly Kingdom.”
Revelation 3:10 – “Because you did obey my message about persevering, I will keep you from the time of trial coming upon the whole world to put the people living on earth to the test.”
Yeshua’s Prayer is definitely a prayer asking Yahweh / Yeshua to keep a person from a Time Of Trial (or testing) that keeps that person safe from the Evil One. While this can be applied to daily occurrences, it most definitely can and should be seen as an urgent request to be kept from the Tribulation Period, the Time of Jacob’s Trouble, which Yahweh promises to do (Revelation 3:10).
Matthew 24:42 – “So stay alert, because you don’t know on what day your Lord will come.”
Until that time, we are to stay alert, anxiously awaiting his appearing.
This warning is repeated many times in:
Matthew 24:42;
Matthew 25:13;
Mark 13:33;
Luke 12:40; and
1 Thessalonians 5:6.
Now that I’ve prayed to be worthy, what’s my next move?
Put On All Of Yahweh’s Armor
Ephesians 6:11-18
No doubt you have heard it said about Ephesians 6:11-18 that: “Paul is describing a Roman soldier’s armor.”
A Roman Soldier’s Armor is A Human Weapon
2 Corinthians 10:4-5 – “The weapons of our warfare are not human weapons.”
If the weapons of our warfare are not human weapons, then why do so many teach that we are to put on a Roman soldier’s armor which are clearly human weapons? It may be mistaken perceptions, or more likely just unsound teaching.
Paul consistently quotes from Isaiah in Ephesians 6:11-18. Isaiah wrote around 700BC, six hundred years before Roman Soldier Armor (or Rome) even existed!
1 Samuel 17:38-39 – “Then Saul clothed David with his armor. He put a helmet of bronze on his head and clothed him with a coat of mail, and David strapped his sword over his armor. . . Then David said to Saul, “I cannot go with these, for I have not tested them.” So David put them off.”
When David went against Goliath, he took off the human weapons that King Saul gave him.
1 Samuel 17:45 – “I come to you in the name of Yahweh Tzva’ot.” David then went against Goliath in the Name of Yahweh, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.
In other words, David went against Goliath in the whole Armor of Yahweh!
Whose Armor Is It?
Let’s see if the Armor of Yahweh applies more to the Garments of the High Priest, who is anointed for battle, than to a Roman Soldier’s Armor!
6:11-13 – “Put on the whole armor of Yahweh, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood [human beings], but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of Yahweh, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”
6:14 – “Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness.”
Paul says righteousness will be the belt of our waist, and faithfulness the belt of our loins, quoting from Isaiah.
In other words we are to wear the breastplate of the High Priest (Isaiah 59:17) and to be girded about with Yeshua who is our righteousness (Isaiah 11:5) and who is the faithful one (Isaiah 25:1).

Paul starts by admonishing us to put on the whole armor [armor] of Yahweh, then goes on to describe each part of that armor, quoting from the Older Covenant scriptures, especially Isaiah, with commentary from his Epistles in the Newer Covenant.
6:15 – “And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace . . .”
Isaiah 52:7 puts it this way: “How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news [the gospel], proclaiming shalom.”
In other words, we are to be messengers – swift of feet – who are bringing the gospel of peace – the good news of Yeshua’s death, burial, and resurrection which brings us back into fellowship with Yahweh, our Heavenly Father.
6:16 – “And take the shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. . .”
2 Samuel 22:31 and Psalm 18:30 say: “Yahweh acts in a faithful manner; . . . he is a shield to all who take shelter in him.”
Psalms 59:11, 84:11, and 115:11 also describe Yahweh as our shield.
Psalm 91:4-5 puts it this way: “His faithfulness is like a shield or a protective wall. You need not fear the terrors of the night, the arrow that flies by day . . .”
Terrors of the night alludes to a sneak attack by enemies in the darkness of night – i.e. from the wiles of the devil.
6:17 – “And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of Yahweh . . .”
The original Hebrew of Isaiah 59:17 literally reads “And his desire to Yeshua [H3444] is a kowba [H3553] upon his rosh [H7218]” – His desire to save is a helmet upon his head.
Isaiah 59:17 goes on to say “he clothed himself with garments of vengeance and wrapped himself in a mantle of zeal,” which is another way of saying he took up the Sword of the Spirit and the Word of Yahweh.

6:18 – “And pray at all times in the Spirit, with all kinds of prayer and supplication.”
In summation, Paul admonishes us to pray at all times and in all ways. While not found in Isaiah, it can be found in many other places, including:
• Psalm 72:15 – “Pray for him continually; yes, bless him all day long.”
• Luke 18:1 – Then Yeshua told them that they “must always keep praying and not lose heart.”
• Romans 12:12 – “Continue steadfastly in prayer.”
• Colossians 4:2 – “Keep persisting in prayer.”
• 1 Thessalonians 5:17 – “Pray regularly.”
Paul consistently states that the Armor of Yahweh, according to Isaiah, is the clothing of the High Priest – not the armor of a Roman Soldier.
The High Priest is the one who is standing in the gap through intercessory prayer against the accuser of the brethren.
We would do well to wear our priestly garments to stand against the wiles of the devil.

The Fifth Holy Day – Yom Teruah
Description: Yom Teruah celebrates the Resurrection of the Righteous, Kingship of the Lord, and Marriage of the Lamb.
Date Of Moed: 1st Day of 7th Month (Tishri – September / October)
Key Scriptures: 1 Thessalonians 4:16 – “For the Lord himself with a loud shout, the voice of an angel, and the sound of Yahweh’s trumpet, will descend from heaven.”
Psalm 89:15 – “Happy are those who hear the blessed sound of the Shofar, the joyful call to worship, for they will walk in the light of the presence of Yahweh.”
Key Word: Wedding Day.
Actions: Trumpets blown. No work is done. Offering by fire is presented to the Lord.
Prophetic Fulfillment: Yeshua’s Return For The Bride.
The return includes both the witnessed Resurrections which happen FIRST, and then the witnessed bodily Raptures of his Bride.
Conclusions
Honor Yahweh’s First Moed
Isaiah 58:13-14 – “The Sabbath is a delight, the holy day of Yahweh; respect the Sabbath as a joyful day of worship.”
We are to get on Yahweh’s Calendar, no longer profane his Set Appointments such as the seventh day Sabbath, and keep them holy.
Pray That Yahweh Will Deliver You From The Time of Trial
Matthew 6:9-11 –“And do not lead us into the time of trial, but keep us safe from the Evil One.”
Ephesians 6:11-13 – “Put on the whole armor of Yahweh . . .”
Pray that you will be worthy to escape the time of trial – the Tribulation Period – and be kept safe from Ha’Satan, the Evil One. Once we are worthy, we are to put on the whole armor of Yahweh to protect us from the Evil One.
Be Ready for Yahweh’s Next Moed
Psalm 89:15 – “Happy are those who hear the blessed sound of the Shofar, the joyful call to worship, for they will walk in the light of the presence of Yahweh.”
Be ready for the fulfillment of Yom Teruah which celebrates the Resurrection of the Righteous, Kingship of the Lord, and Marriage of the Lamb. Yeshua’s at Yom Teruah return includes both the witnessed Resurrections which happen FIRST, and then the witnessed bodily Raptures of his Bride.
Final Thought for 2026
• The season of the birth pains is here – keep maintaining an attitude of gratitude.
• The prophetic signs continue to unfold in an escalating pattern as foretold by the Hebrew prophets.
• History is moving extremely quickly towards the one world government, financial system, and religion.
• Time is incredibly short – Yeshua Ha’Mashiach is coming soon – so be of great cheer and keep looking up.
• Be sure you are believing The Truth, not The Lie – get busy reaching the lost.
• Be sure Yeshua is your Redeemer, King, and High Priest, and your sins are forgiven.
