This is the Year that Yahweh has made.
We will rejoice and be glad in it.
Get on Yahweh’s Calendar and Celebrate His Moedim
Yahweh has established eight moedim, according to Leviticus 23:1-44. The first moed, or appointed holy assembly is the weekly Sabbath. This is the only moed mentioned in Leviticus that is not a moed that prophesies seven of Yeshua’s roles in history.
The Weekly Sabbath
The seventh day of each week is a day of complete rest, a holy assembly, a day of rest for Yahweh. Elohim rested on the seventh day, therefore so do we.
The Prophetical Moedim
The prophetical Moedim are Dress Rehearsals for prophetic events. The prophetical spring moedim – Pesach, Chag Ha’Matzah, and Reishit Katzir – have all been fulfilled in the death, burial, and resurrection of Yeshua.
The prophetical fall moedim have yet to be fulfilled. Yom Teruah is the first of the fall moedim, and will be fulfilled when Yeshua returns to resurrect the dead and rapture his bride. Yom Kippurim is the second of the fall moedim, and will be fulfilled when Yeshua returns to judge the nations. Sukkot is the third and final of the fall moedim, and will be fulfilled when Yeshua returns to set up his millennial reign. Praise Yahweh for fulfilling prophecy.
Yahweh’s Seven Prophetical Moedim are:
1. Pesach – Pesach symbolizes deliverance from Egyptian bondage and redemption by the blood of the Lamb. This moed was fulfilled in Yeshua’s first coming when he was crucified as a peace offering for our separation from Yahweh.
2. Chag Ha’Matzah – Chag Ha’Matzah is the day of unleavened bread, which celebrates the burial of Yeshua.
3. Reishit Katzir – Reishit Katzir celebrates the resurrection of Yeshua.
4. Shavuot – Shavuot is the second harvest festival of thanksgiving, a day to remember the Covenant Yahweh made with His people at Mt. Sinai. Shavuot was fulfilled in Yeshua’s giving of the Ruach Ha’Kodesh on the fiftieth day after Chag Ha’Matzah, while his disciples were praying at the Temple in Jerusalem.
5. Yom Teruah – Yom Teruah announces Yeshua’s wedding day, His coronation as King, & the day of the wakening blast.
6. Yom Kippur – Yom Kippur is the feast celebrating the day when our sins of the year are covered (Older Covenant) or when all of our sins are fully taken away (Newer Covenant). Guilt and condemnation are removed (At-One-Ment with Yahweh).
7. Sukkot – Sukkot celebrates the day of ingathering of fruit and vine crops. It is a memorial of the wilderness experience and a return to Jerusalem to celebrate Sabbath.
Get on Yahweh’s Calendar and also Celebrate His People’s Holidays
The Holidays are celebrations that often commemorate historical events, or are times of prayer and repentance. The holidays most known are:
1. Purim – Purim celebrates the victory of the Jews over those who would try to oppress or kill them.
2. Tish’a B’Av – Tish’a B’Av commemorates the destruction of the first and second Temples, both of which were destroyed on the ninth of Av.
3. Forty Days of Teshuva –The Forty Days of Teshuva are days of repentance, reflection, and restitution.
4. Ten Days of Awe– Aseres Yemei Teshuvah, or the Ten Days of Repentance, are the ten days starting with Yom Teruah and ending with Yom Kippur and are commonly known as the Days of Awe (Yamim Noraim) or the Days of Repentance.
5. Chanukah – Chanukah celebrates the dedication of the Tabernacle in the wilderness and also the cleansing and re-dedication of the Temple during the period of the Maccabees and the miracle of the Menorah staying lit for eight days despite having only one day’s supply of oil.l.
